This is a set that I shot to go along with a video on Hairdresser on Fire.

There was a story in the NY Times last week about the George Washington Bridge needing to have all of it’s vertical cables replaced. It so happens that I live relatively near that bridge. Since the weather has been so unseasonably mild the last few weeks, I decided to take a little hike and dusk and shoot some images of the bridge from the river level.

Frank Muytjens and team were on fire again this season. Since he came on board at J. Crew, their shows have been consistently one of my favorites.

Betsey Johnson runway shows are notoriously raucous. This year was no exception. Betsey came out at the end and put on a show that rivaled the actual runway presentation. This was a fun show for me, since I was not sitting in on the riser with the rest of the photographers. Instead I was able to try to get a creative angle on the show. My favorite image that I came away with from this show, is the one of the expression on the adorable little girls’ faces, sitting on the front row.

This fall NYC is hosting a major surf competition for the first time ever. As part of the festivities, Tony Hawk and the Birdhouse crew put on a vert demo in Manhattan. I was pretty happy to be there covering it for RC.

Shipley & Halmos held their Spring 2010 preview this week at their Greene St. showroom in NYC. I was a fan of basically everything that I saw. But, I particularly liked the green leather shoes and accessories. Check the coverage over here.

Pro BMX rider Nigel Sylvester recently teamed up with G-Shock on a pro-model. To commemorate, G-Shock threw a party in Nigel’s honor at the Hotel on Rivington, in NYC’s lower east side. I was able to cover the event for G-Shock. The sunset was fantastic, and the weather on the roof deck was perfect for a party.

On the heels of her private installation at Primary Wave, Olek opened an show at the Levine Gallery this week. In her latest work, she mixed in some monochromatic camo with her usual bright color scheme.

MCM showcased their spring/summer 2012 lineup, this week in New York City. Peep the coverage in HS.

KAWS recently teamed up with Hennessy on a new bottle design. They kicked things off with a soiree at NYC’s New Museum, on Bowery. ?uestlove of the roots was manning the turntables. KAWS, was of course on hand mixing and mingling. Recap over here.
