This is a set that I shot to go along with a video on Hairdresser on Fire.

There was a story in the NY Times last week about the George Washington Bridge needing to have all of it’s vertical cables replaced. It so happens that I live relatively near that bridge. Since the weather has been so unseasonably mild the last few weeks, I decided to take a little hike and dusk and shoot some images of the bridge from the river level.

I was stoked to be able to link up with Tim B. and Rad Collector for this shoot at the Bowery Hotel, to kick of Rad Collector’s “Girlfriend” series featuring some the forthcoming WeSC gear. MarLen Diaz is the model. Styled by Tim Brodhagen.

This last set is kind of a hodge podge of images that I wanted to publish. They are from a mix of Billy Reid, Hyden Yoo, Nicholas K, and Petrou/Man.

N. Hoolywood chose an interesting venue, this fall. The show was at an auditorium at BMCC. Theater lighting was in effect which made it a bit challenging to shoot. But it was also a nice variation from the typical runway show.

This was a great show. General Idea was one of my favorites last spring, as well.

My favorite part about the Richard Chai show this fall, was the super bold lip color used on the women. The clothing was great too. But in my opinion, the makeup made the show.

The Native Son show was a hybrid runway/presentation. It went down at Chelsea Piers. I arrived early to shoot some back stage stuff. There was a moment after hair and makeup, where a handful of the models climbed through a window out onto the roof for a smoke. I followed them out. On the roof is where I snapped a few of my favorite images from this round of fashion week.

Frank Muytjens and team were on fire again this season. Since he came on board at J. Crew, their shows have been consistently one of my favorites.

Betsey Johnson runway shows are notoriously raucous. This year was no exception. Betsey came out at the end and put on a show that rivaled the actual runway presentation. This was a fun show for me, since I was not sitting in on the riser with the rest of the photographers. Instead I was able to try to get a creative angle on the show. My favorite image that I came away with from this show, is the one of the expression on the adorable little girls’ faces, sitting on the front row.
